Along with her sister Nina she attended schools which included First Nations children as well as other children of different cultures. Isabel currently resides with her family in Byron Bay NSW Australia. Isabel was a performer in her school. In addition to being a drama student, she was a student of Perdekamp Emotional Method at Queensland University of Technology. Her auditions were not for any roles before the agent found she was available in 2002. She auditioned for the role on the show Home and Away (1998).
